Description


Radio Internships is a fully practical course where students design, produce, perform and write and voice a radio program broadcast by a real radio channel for their audience for a year.

Over the course of three terms, the students, in independent groups of 3, 4 or 5 people, are responsible for maintaining a stable production of their own on the radio grid, with the tutorship and help of the teacher. In this sense, in a professional environment, all the knowledge acquired in previous introductions to the radio medium is put into practice and expanded.

The course, with constant practical work, deals with the following blocks of content with the supervision of group work:

Content 1: The design of the radio format and structure

Description

The factors to be taken into account when designing a new radio program are worked on. Application of knowledge of radio formats and their organization.

Evaluation system


The basis of the Radiophonic Practices assessment is the planning, realization, broadcasting and group promotion of a radio program on an open and real audio channel (40%). To prepare and base this broadcast, a framework radio project is designed and written as a group (10%) and different activities and tasks are carried out to monitor and control the production (10%). At the same time, an individual critical analysis is carried out on the productions of the other groups (10%) and a comment on the use and strategy of social networks (15%) to guide the production. Finally, an individual report (5%) is made for the assessment and presentation of the content covered and the learnings obtained. Attendance and participation in activities and classes count individually for 10% of the final grade of the course.

RECOVERY

According to current regulations, only those students who have not reached 5 in the final grade point average of the subject or who have not managed to pass one of the two parts, theory or practice, will be eligible for recovery. Recovery will be only from those unapproved parts.

A written exam will be taken to recover the theory part.

In order to recover the practice, an oral exam will be carried out where practical cases will be posed and exercises of locution and radio realization can be requested.
